Despite my feet only fitting in flip-flops right now, I’m craving cosy boots, Autumn walks, steaming hot chocolates and snuggling under blankets. Here’s a little round up of what I’m most excited about doing this season.
Meeting Baby Girl
Yep, our baby girl is set to arrive slap bang in the middle of Autumn and we are beyond giddy about seeing her little face. After 37 weeks of carrying her around, I’m more than ready to meet her. Fun fact, Autumn is actually on our list of baby names! If you have any suggestions for cute girls names, leave them in the comments!
Shopping Sans Bump
In just 3 weeks I’ll be saying hello to Autumnal fashion and goodbye to my baby bump! While I won’t be back in my skinny jeans from the get-go, this is the perfect excuse to shop for some comfy high waisted jeans and slouchy jumpers to take me through to winter. I pretty much live in jeans and jumpers with cosy boots at this time of year so I’m super excited to swap my long sleeved maternity dresses for something a little more stylish.
Eating all the Halloween Candy (while hiding from Trick or Treaters)
It’s that time of year again when we can stock the cupboards with mini chocolate bars for the neighbours’ kids but all I can think about is how handy they will be for 5am feeds while Hocus Pocus plays in the background. Let’s face it, getting down 3 flights of stairs with a small human in tow to answer the door every 3 seconds simply won’t be on my agenda this year. But mini treats? I’m In. GIVE ME ALL THE MINI CRUNCHIE BARS. (If you haven’t sipped tea through a mini Twix you haven’t lived).
Autumnal Walks
With a new baby and an energetic cockapoo to entertain, I’m sure Autumnal walks will be a regular part of our day and I’m not mad about it. I may have purchased a few 8567 super cute padded pram suits for baby girl and I can’t wait to get us all wrapped up for a mid-morning walk. We’ve also spent a small fortune on a pram so what better way to test it out?
Mulled Wine and Mochas with Marshmallows
Nothing says Autumn like making a batch of spicy mulled wine. All autumnal activities are made all the more cosy with a cup of something hot and sweet. Unpopular opinion – I actually hate pumpkin spiced lattes *hides* pass me a mocha with sprinkles and cream any day of the week.
What are your favourite things about Autumn?
