Happiness is a pistachio macaroon…
I can’t take another day of gloomy weather so I’ve created this little post to remind myself that while it may be dull and grey, there are plenty of reasons to smile. My Happy List blog feature is back and if you are new to this, it’s basically a lovely list of things that have made me smile this week. Grab a snack and let’s get started.
The ultimate French Sole nude ballet flats(here)…
Shopping for a holiday in November isn’t the easiest thing in the world but thankfully French Sole has the perfect go with everything shoe. It’s been ages since I’ve been on a two week holiday and I always struggle to fit everything in my suitcase so versatile shoes are a must. These Henrietta ballet flats in nude are absolute perfection and are perfect for sightseeing in Dubai.
Creme De La Mer Freebies (THIS IS NOT A DRILL)
If you have ever visited the Creme De La Mer counter in Harvey Nichols, you will know just how hard it is to get a sample of their precious potions and lotions. Last week I discovered that you can get freebies with a flash of your Harvey Nichols App and this month’s freebies are no other than Creme De La Mer! All you need to do is download the App and points are added when you shop. Inside this box are two mini face creams. Perfect to pop in my suitcase!
Fluffy bath towels…
When the Autumn season arrives, I tend to hibernate preferring long leisurely soaks in the bath with a book than flashy cocktails in a bar. Alfons and Isadore are a new brand on my radar and they kindly brightened up my day by sending me a stack of the fluffiest towels. I cannot explain just how soft these bath towels are, all I can say is that you need them in your life. Unlike other towels, they don’t go all hard and cardboardy after you have used them. I loved these so much that I’m tempted to throw all of other towels away and buy fluffy new ones. You just can’t beat a little luxury on a cold autumn night.
In a bid not to spend so much and to try and keep my mind occupied from eating cake, I started reading The Night Circus last week. It was so incredible that I read it in 3 days. I never really needed much convincing to run away with the circus and now it’s firmly on my bucket list after reading this. If you are looking for something new to add to your reading list, this is the perfect book for a cosy night in.
What has made you happy this month?
