If you read my blog regularly, you will know I’m getting married in August and my calendar is filling up at speed with exciting wedding related dates. The one I’m most looking forward to is my hen weekend. So when Red7 got in touch and asked me to share my hen do musings and promote an exciting competition they are running, I jumped at the chance. I’m personally putting most of the hen do responsibilities in the hands of my bridesmaids (I don’t envy you ladies) but I will have some level of involvement as in all honesty the thought of a total surprise would give me a nervous breakdown.
Planning a hen do is hard. Popping on a sash and hitting the town with various inflatable penis memorabilia is all well and fine but if you fancy a sophisticated affair that people of all ages will love, I hope you have your thinking caps on (and lots of gin). Personally, I want something in-between. Something silly and fun yet posh and pretty.
My lovely Mother-In-Law to be came up with the idea of having my Hen Do in London and I think it’s the perfect hen destination. London is one of my favourite places as there are an abundance of fancy places to drink cocktails and eat cake. Here are just a few of the things I’ve found so far.
Beauty Treats at Benefit
There’s a fab little Benefit store on Carnaby Street that I found when I popped in for an emergency brow appointment last week. On the top floor there is a brow bar and all of the beauty products you could ever wish for. On the ground floor there is a champagne bar, a blow dry bar and makeup station. The room is perfect for a large group and those who don’t fancy a treatment can simply enjoy a glass of bubbles.
The Secret Room at Choccywokkydodah
For £25 a head you can gain access to the secret room at Choccywokkydodah. Extravagant chocolate cakes, champers and nibbles await in the cutest dining space in London.
Learn the Charleston at Claridges
While eating and drinking in various places sums up my perfect hen do experience, there should be a spot of silliness involved. Claridges is one of my all time favourite places in London but you do have to re-mortgage your home to stay there. Luckily, there are more affordable activities to do there. The Charleston masterclass takes place in the ballroom. Did i mention there are cocktails too?
If your hen do has been and gone, why not enter your juiciest photo and enter to win Red7’s funniest hen do photo competition? You could win a weekend away! Good luck ladies! If you have any amazing hen do ideas in London please leave a note in the comments!
