Revealing the Flavours of Spritz 2026

LMB UK have revealed the three spritz flavours that are in hot demand for Summer 2026 – all simple, sparkling and seriously delicious.

Each is created with a popular spirit or liqueur from LMB’s award-winning portfolio – Bardinet Brandy, Villa Cardea Limoncello and Warner’s Rhubarb Gin – and features the refreshing fruit flavours of zesty grapefruit, lush lemon and tangy rhubarb.

The Flavour Profiles and Signature Serves

1. Zesty Grapefruit: Reimagining Brandy with Bardinet VSOP

The most avant-garde inclusion in LMB UK’s summer portfolio is undoubtedly the Zesty Grapefruit spritz, an expression that boldly re-contextualises French brandy within a sparkling daytime setting. Historically viewed as a post-dinner, winter digestive, brandy is rarely associated with poolside effervescence. However, by leveraging the smooth, oak-aged character of Bardinet VSOP—which features delicate nose notes of vanilla and dried fruits alongside a velvety finish of caramel and mild almond—LMB UK has unlocked a brilliant pairing. The inherent bitter-sweet sharpness of pink grapefruit cuts cleanly through the rich, wooden baseline of the spirit, while a touch of elderflower provides a highly sought-after floral top note.

  • The Signature Bardinet Rosé Spritz Recipe:
    • 40ml Bardinet Brandy VSOP
    • 40ml Fresh Pink Grapefruit Juice
    • 10ml Premium Elderflower Syrup
    • 60ml Chilled Prosecco
    • A splash of sparkling water to finish
    • Method: Fill a large balloon wine glass generously with clean ice cubes. Pour in the Bardinet VSOP, fresh grapefruit juice, and elderflower syrup, stirring gently to combine the dense liquids. Slowly layer the chilled prosecco over the top to preserve the bubble structure, crown with a final splash of sparkling water, and garnish with an expressively cut slice of fresh pink grapefruit.

2. Lush Lemon: The Sicilian Sun via Villa Cardea Limoncello

If the grapefruit spritz represents innovation, the Lush Lemon serve stands as an impeccable execution of pure Mediterranean heritage. This serve spotlights Villa Cardea Limoncello, an authentic Italian liqueur produced in Northern Italy using a traditional, completely natural recipe that infuses premium, intensely aromatic lemon peels sourced directly from Sicily. In the hot months of 2026, the limoncello spritz has become an absolute staple across UK pub gardens and terrace bars, valued for its crisp, immediately recognisable citrus punch. The key to this build is geometric balance: avoiding overly cloying sweetness by pairing the dense liqueur with a dry prosecco and clean soda water.

  • The Signature Villa Cardea Limoncello Spritz Recipe:
    • 3 parts Chilled Prosecco
    • 2 parts Villa Cardea Limoncello
    • 1 part Chilled Soda Water
    • Method: Pack a large, wide-bowled wine glass to the brim with ice. Introduce the ingredients in sequence to facilitate natural mixing: start with the crisp prosecco, follow with the sparkling soda water, and finish by pouring the vibrant Villa Cardea Limoncello through the centre, allowing the citrus oils to coat the ice. Stir with a singular, brief rotation, then garnish with thin, circular wheels of fresh lemon and a slapped sprig of garden mint for an optional aromatic lift.

3. Tangy Rhubarb: Countryside Provenance via Warner’s Rhubarb Gin

The third pillar of the 2026 spritz program highlights the ongoing British obsession with localised, farm-grown botanicals. The Tangy Rhubarb serve features Warner’s Rhubarb Gin, an award-winning spirit crafted at Falls Farm, where an astonishing one-third of every single bottle consists entirely of pure, freshly squeezed rhubarb juice. Farmed and pressed locally, this real juice yields an authentic, beautifully tart flavour profile that balances the sharp botanical structures of juniper, coriander seed, and cardamom. By moving away from artificial flavourings, this spritz captures the distinct essence of an English country garden. It provides a beautifully balanced, complex tartness that pairs exquisitely with sparkling apple top notes.

  • The Signature Warner’s Rhubarb Gin Spritz Recipe:
    • 50ml Warner’s Rhubarb Gin
    • 50ml Belvoir Farm Pink Lady Sparkling Apple Juice
    • 50ml Dry Prosecco
    • A dash of ginger ale or soda water to balance
    • Method: In a highball glass or structured copa chalice filled with ice, build the ingredients systematically. Pour the farm-driven Warner’s Rhubarb Gin over the ice cubes, follow with the premium sparkling apple juice, and lengthen with prosecco. For an added layer of country-inspired spice, a tiny splash of ginger ale can be added. Garnish with a fresh, crisp slice of orange or a ribbon of raw rhubarb.
