With so many different ways to shape your brows to perfection, it’s no surprise that you might be a little lost when it comes to your own personal brow-grooming regime. I’ve tried everything from Microblading (ouch to the nth degree), to HD Brows (semi-ouch) to Threading (mega ouch) to a simple wax and tint (minimal ouch almost an ahhh). I even dabbled with the laminated brow (I was not a fan) but I’ve finally settled on a brow regime that I love. And that’s all down to the lovely Kaye at L’Rose Beauty Boutique. Do I love driving fifty nine minutes to my brow appointment? No no no. But do I adore my expertly shaped brows that are flawless every time plus the many many brow-related compliments that follow? Yes yes yes. Plus, Kaye is not only a brow magician, she also happens to have an emotional support dog on hand called Bear. 100% recommend.
I started this year with a lot of goals. Have I saved 20k? No. Have I hit my goal weight? No. But have I maintained fabulous brows all year, yes I have and sometimes that’s all you need to face the day. Now it’s taken me a long time to perfect my regime, I’ve had countless appointments at local salons where I’ve left one half of my eyebrow behind, one shorter then the other, round instead of arched and the worst one by far, fluffy brows.
Sorry about the crazy close up but you have to admit, my brows are in pretty good shape. My advice to anyone out there is to take your time when choosing a brow specialist. They will be able to advise you on shape which can completely transform your face. Also, explore simpler options like a tint before you dive into getting the wrong shape or shade tattooed for all eternity onto your face.
That being said, I did have my brows microbladed around 2019 and while it has left me with a more prominant brow even almost 4 years on, I wouldn’t repeat the procedure that although was perfomed incredibly, was more painful than childbirth. My second slice of brow-related wisdom is don’t experiment wildly with your eyebrows during any turbulent life events (childbirth, seperation a tripple whammy eclipse you get the drill) as it could just be the thing that launches your mental breakdown.
My brow game certainly levelled up the day I met Kaye. Those odd times I’m out and about with minimal makeup (every school run) I send her a little telepathic thank you for helping me to look like a well put-together human. When I met Kaye my brows were untamed, unsymetrical and quite frankly unnoticable. I now have people asking where I get them done! We experimented to find the perfect shade of tint and now I no longer need an entourage of brow products at home such as brow gels, pencils or even tweezers. I simply visit Kaye every 4 weeks and it’s the ultimate low maintenance regime. I do literally nothing but admire my eyebrows which is exactly the kind of upkeep I aim for.
L’Rose Beauty Boutique is a gorgeous and girly salon and the service is personable and chatty. The pace is leisurely and the results beautiful. So, if you are looking for better brows, this salon is a great place to start. But, there’s so much more than brows. If you are looking for nicer nails or toes or anything else waxing for that matter, you can get the glow up you need right here. Have you tried L’Rose Beauty Boutique?
