Few things get me more excited than a new season and the A/W one is officially around the corner. It’s the perfect excuse to clear out your closet and re-stock it with cosy jumpers, oversized ponchos but most importantly lots of new and exciting accessories. While I love the warmer months, I particularly love wrapping up warm and dressing in black from top to toe with a few choice accessories to create a contrast. When news of the Bucherer jewellery launch landed in my inbox I flagged it straight away and added it to my mental list of must-buy items for autumn winter. Rather than trend-led pieces, this range is made up of investment pieces that are meant to treasured and the high-quality gemstones make this range perfect to pass down to future generations. The B Dimension jewellery collection is a collaboration with Bucherer Fine Jewellery and New York designer Yunjo Lee. It’s basically all you need to step out in style. If, like me, you plan to invest in a few pieces of jewellery this year, this collection will not only enhance your look aesthetically but it will also create conversations due to its originality and beauty.
Let’s start with my favourite piece from the collection. This 18 carat rose gold ring is inspired by the interplay of shadows and light and to me it reminds me of the way that sunlight glitters on the ocean. My go-to winter pieces are going to be woollen knit maxi skirts and oversized jumpers styled with statement jewellery pieces and this midnight blue ring could provide the perfect splash of colour. Oh and I’ve fallen in love with the black version too.
Then there are those statement pieces that are timeless that will see you through season after season. I’m obsessed with the matte gemstones that add a dash of colour. Ultra chic, this collection is designed to be mixed and matched making it really versatile. I’m obsessed with the luxurious earring and ring designs that add a touch of sparkle some with a wow-worthy 80 diamonds. As you can see, circular designs dominate the collection and the 26 pieces feature the finest diamond pavé.
My inner magpie is drawn to these pieces simply because they dazzle but I know that fine jewellery is a wise investment for the future and diamonds are one of the few fashionable purchases that grow in value over time. I own only a few pieces of fine jewellery but I’m thinking of adding to my ring collection when our little girl is born. I love the idea of collecting beautiful pieces that will one day be heirlooms that will be passed down to her. I love pieces that you can wear to memorable occasions that end up telling a story and someone inheriting not only a beautiful necklace but a piece that signifies a sprinkling of memories.
To me, the purchase of a piece of fine jewellery signifies dreams, goals and love stories and I can’t wait to add a few investment pieces to my collection this year.
