My blog has provided a number of exciting opportunities over the years from working with brands I’ve grown up admiring to the events I’d only ever dreamed of getting an invite to. It’s allowed me to meet some fantastic people but most of all, it’s given me the chance to spoil my loved ones with gifts and experiences that I would never have been able to do before. So when Fenetic Wellbeing got in touch to tell me about their Gift of Giving campaign I jumped at the chance to surprise a family member with a random act of kindness. The campaign is all about the importance of family and showing them how much you care by treating them to something they would never buy for themselves. While it isn’t about extravagance, after all your bond with your family comes down to a lot more than material things, it’s about showing kindness and appreciation for everything they do. I decided to surprise my Auntie.
My Auntie is such an important part of my life and always has been and I couldn’t think of anyone more deserving of a treat on the run up to Christmas. She works so hard and her job as a hairdresser means she is always on her feet. A lot of my Auntie’s customers are old and she often goes the extra mile to walk them home in the icy weather and braving the extreme weather conditions to make sure they look and feel their best at Christmas. I’m so lucky to have such an inspiring influence in my life and it feels so nice to give something back in return. Now my Auntie loves to shop but rarely splashes out on luxury purchases so I decided to surprise her with a beautiful Kurt Geiger bag.
