SPOILER: Gusto cookridge now offers cheese boards *happy face*
Brrrrrr. Dig out those spiced candles and grab a mug of hot chocolate, winter is on the way! My heating is officially on and I’m craving all sorts of hearty winter food. A couple of weeks ago I toddled off to Gusto to sample their winter menu and my oh my it’s good. If you have followed my blog for a while you will know of my love for Gusto Cookridge. It’s my favourite date night spot so I was delighted to be invited to sample a whole hosts of delights from their new menu with some lovely bloggers. Just when I thought I couldn’t love Gusto any more than I do, they go and introduce a cheese board. Race you there!
We were welcomed in from the cold with a glorious cocktail while we waited for the new dishes to arrive. First up were the new and incredibly fancy cheese and meat boards. They make the perfect sharing boards as starters if you fancy a change from their delicious garlic pizza breads. Both of the boards come with ramekins of hummus and a sprinkling of olives and sundried tomatoes.
I always stick to what I know when I visit Gusto so it was lovely to discover a few new dishes that will tempt me away from my usual choices. The seafood tagliatelle is incredible and it’s my favourite dish from the new menu. You can always count on Gusto for delicious pizza and pasta dishes and the new offerings exceeded my every expectation. The Fiorentina pizza that comes with an egg cooked in the middle of it went down a treat. For those with a sweet tooth, there is a cracking vanilla cheesecake on the menu but if you have visited Gusto Cookridge before, I’m sure you’ll find it hard to stray from the incredible nutella calzone.
It’s all about warm, hearty options which is just what you need at this time of year.
Mmmmm, I love Gusto so much – I need to visit again asap! x
