So, last night was the launch of Benefit’s latest creation Benefit Fake Up and my first solo blogger event. After a mad rush from work and a fun game of petrol roulette I made it albeit a little flustered to Malmaison. The event was hosted in one of the cosy function rooms and I have to admit that although I have been to a few blogger events before, I was a teeny bit nervous about the concept of meeting so many new faces. Luckily there was a friendly face in the crowd, the lovely Em from Em Talks and soon enough we were chatting away over canapes and champers.
OK, so let’s get to the serious stuff. Benefit Fake Up is a fabulous hydrating concealer that is set to launch at the end of this month and there are three shades to choose from. The lovely Benefit team colour matched the right shade of Fake Up for each of the bloggers and I’ll be trying out Shade 1 (the lightest) in the coming weeks. I’m a die hard Touch Eclat fan so this concealer has a lot to live up to. We each received all three shades but I think the medium shade will come in handy when I’m tanned after my holiday. Shade 3 is for darker skin tones but it can also be used for contouring should you wish to experiment with Kim Kardashian’s fave beauty trick.

I’m interested to see whether the Fake Up concealer does camouflage without creasing under the eyes and I’m excited to see how long it lasts.
If it’s good enough for Cara…
Benefit Fake up was used behind the scenes at London Fashion week to create catwalk worthy looks for model of the moment Cara Delevinge.
The lovely Benefit ladies had put together some fabulous goodie bags that included the Hello Flawless powder which I can’t wait to try. I currently use Rimmel powder and I can imagine that this will create more of a flawless finish. There were so many products that I had no idea existed and by the end of the night my wishlist was out of control.
Say hello to my next Benefit purchase..
The Hello Flawless foundation is another item on my wish list and it really does what it says on the tin. I think this would make a great day time foundation paired with the Hello Flawless powder. There were also some gorgeous highlighters, kits and primers that I’ve fallen in love with.
The gorge Em Sheldon…
My favourite part of the night was putting a face to some of the people who’s blog I follow on twitter.
The lovely Sarah Stevenson from @SLStevo was there with the shiniest nails I have ever seen, you should check out her You Tube videos, they are pretty spectacular. I also bumped into fellow Leeds blogger Charlotte from @Charlcollection whose blog is my new obsession. Check out my facebook for more pics from the event and see who you can spot. Have you tried Fake Up yet? x
I had the flawless foundation applied on me today at the Benefit counter and it’s really nice!
