NYE Essentials

Whatever your plans this NYE, you will no doubt be familiar with the mammoth pamper session that occurs on the last few hours before you head out of the door. So, I thought I’d share with you my NYE essentials that will ensure you look your best when midnight strikes.

Xen Tan

For me tanning is first on the list and usually is a job for the night before the fun begins. However, with NYE falling on a Monday this year, i had no choice but to do it myself. This is not something I enjoy as it never looks as good as a spray tan but thanks to the latest Moroccan Tan from Xen Tan, the results are more Made in Chelsea than the orange hue a la Geordie Shore. This is darker than the original Xen Tan shades and I have topped this off with a layer of the Xen Tan Gold gel to get just the right amount of shimmer.

Nails

NYE is all about a bit of sparkle and so this year it’s all about Rock Star nails. Like Shellac this is a gel that will last at least 2 weeks and I’ve chosen a gold glitter to add a little sparkle to my little black dress.

Lashes

No NYE would be complete without lashes and there is no one that does lashes better than Shu Umera. I’ll be heading there today to get some extravagant lashes as well as my eye makeup done at the lash bar at Harvey Nichols. I’m already giddy about the gorgeous gold shimmery eyeshadow that I will be taking home with me.

PS the cupcakes in this picture is rather apt as after this eve I’m officially giving up cakes! I know my love affair with cakes is something you are all aware of and I am in fact writing this post from a cake shop but as of tomorrow it’s time to detox!
