As my blog has always had a focus on luxury I couldn’t whip up a few Christmas gift guides without including an extra special luxury one for those of you who are feeling spendy. I’m doing lots of little gift guides this year instead of one big one and I think this one might be my absolute favourite. Whether you are looking for gift inspiration for yourself or you want to spoil someone special this year, we’re talking no holds barred luxury. I’ll apologize to your bank balance now.
Sweet or Savoury Hampers
Cheese, chutneys and chocolates oh my! First up is my fail-safe gift that I turn to time and time again when the festive season rolls around. Yes, that’s right. HAMPERS. The most appealing aspect of hampers is that you can create your own food and drink hamper and tailor them to each person on your list. Who wouldn’t want a luxury hamper filled with all of their favourite things? Spoil the host on Christmas day with lots of fancy condiments to add to her dinner table or put them in your guest rooms if you are the host. For those hard to please picky types, you can’t go wrong with luxury chocolate hampers. This gift is ideal if you are buying for someone you haven’t known long but want to make an impression on ie your new partner’s parents!
Cute and Cosy Cashmere
So, you’re looking for a timeless gift that your mum/dad/husband/wife/bestie can treasure for years to come. Cashmere ponchos, scarfs and socks are the perfect addition to their clothing collection. These cashmere socks are perfect to stuff in a stocking (use the code GIFT20 for 20% off) while a cashmere sweater will keep him or her cosy over the Christmas period and beyond!
Luxury Leather Luggage
Perhaps you’re jetting off for the Christmas break and want to spruce up his or her luggage collection? Luxury leather goods are always a fail-safe gift idea but a shiny new holdall or suitcase could be the perfect clue to a surprise trip! Make it extra special and get their initials monogrammed on it.
A Luxury Planner or Diary
The perfect gift for a social butterfly or anyone who needs a little organisation in their life, a diary is a practical yet luxurious gift. For luxury leather diaries, head to Aspinal of London or Smythson (this one is delightful) and don’t forget to write something sentimental on the first page!
Limited Edition Candles
I love receiving candles at Christmas time because it’s something I rarely splash out on myself. Candle companies that I adore include Neom, Jo Malone, Dyptique and Penhaligon’s. Make it extra special and choose a limited edition design or scent or add in some fancy matches, a matching fragrance or a candle carousel! The carousels sold out at lightning speed last year and I managed to get my bestie one in the nick of time so GO GO GO! If they are a jet setter, get them a set of travel candles to make their hotel room feel like home or if they are newly married, get a candle in the same scent that they wore on their wedding days and fill their home with the scent that brings back magical memories.
