Now, I wouldn’t exactly call myself the Queen of accessorising as I’ve never been one to rush out and buy costume jewellery instead opting to invest in timeless pieces that would enhance my everyday style. I’ve recently added a key piece to my jewellery collection so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to share it with you and give you an insight into picking out a few accessories that will never go out of style. Gemporia challenged me to style a piece from their white gemstone collection and I totally fell in love with this simple yet elegant bracelet.
When picking out the perfect piece of jewellery, I always try to choose something that is both delicate and dazzling. This beautiful silver bracelet from Gemporia from the White Gemstone collection is just that. I adore the delicate chain and the subtle hint of sparkle that makes it perfect for daytime looks and dressier occasions.
So, just like the classic little black dress, what investment pieces should every girl own when it comes to accessories?
Nude Shoes-Every girl needs a classic pair of nude courts in her closet and I literally have a favourite pair that I buy on repeat. I’d go as far to say they are my trademark. In fact, when it comes to heels, you won’t often see me stray from the classic nude formula whether that be with my essential plain courts from Daniel Footwear or my slightly more dramatic nude D & G peeptoes.
Metallic Flats-When buying flats I always go for quality over quality. My current favourite pair are the gold pointy slippers from Nicholas Kirkwood which were eye wateringley expensive but hands down the comfiest shoes I’ve ever owned and were a clever investment for the summer. These Sam Edelman sandals are also a new addition to my footwear collection that I will bring out season after season.
An Investment Handbag-A year ago my husband bought me the Chloe Drew bag and it is the perfect all year round accessory and you’ve probably seen it in featured in far too many blog posts. This bag complements day and night outfits and goes with everything in my wardrobe. It’s compact but surprisingly roomy and has been everywhere with me from travelling to New York to dinner dates and blog events.
What are your timeless investment pieces that you can’t live without?
