Favours by Biscuiteers
Welcome to the second post in our wedding series that’s all about favours and gifts! One of my favourite parts of the wedding planning process was finding the perfect gifts for our bridal party and of course the perfect favours for our 75 guests. I’m always asked for gift related advice, so let’s talk gift ideas for Bridesmaids, The Mother of the Bride/Groom as well as Flower Girls, Ushers and of course your other half.
For my four Bridesmaids, I wanted to give them all something that they could keep as a reminder of the day. Finding a gift that four different people will love isn’t the easiest thing in the world so for this reason I stayed away from fragrances, jewellery and accessories. Instead I opted for these gorgeous gold Aspinal of London makeup bags. I like the idea of a makeup bag as you can even fill them with nail polishes or lipsticks that complement your colour theme. We surprised our Ushers with engraved leather hip flasks from Aspinal of London. I love Aspinal leather goods and they even throw in engraved initials for free. For cute gifts for younger members of your bridal party Etsy is your go-to for pretty personal things. My flower girl is only three but I wanted gifts that she would cherish as she got older. I found these cute embroidered hankerchiefs with personalised poems on that can be her something old when she walks down the aisle. I also bought this handmade personalised flower girl bracelet for her to wear on the day.
Stuck for the perfect gift? If in doubt, buy a hamper. Luxury food and drink hampers make superb gifts and there are gifts for all budgets. Looking for the hamper of all hampers? Head to Fortnums. We bought two epic wine hampers for our parents and they really do make great gifts for Mother and Father of the Bride/Groom. My Mum was on hand for all of my pre wedding tantrums as well as the 4000 dress fittings and hair trials so it seemed only fair that I thanked her with wine. Lots of wine. If you are looking for a more food based kind of hamper, The British Hamper Company have some really unique options.
The last present on my list was for the most important person on the list. My husband to be. After a lot of uming and ahhing, I decided to purchase a pair of silver cufflinks from Tiffanys. I had them engraved with his initials and hid them in his room the night before the wedding with a soppy handwritten note so that he would wake up to them on our wedding morning. I received the most amazing Chloe bag (isn’t it divine?) from my love that I’d been lusting after all year. It arrived while I was getting ready and it was such an incredible surprise.
Lastly don’t forget to buy a little something for friends or family members who agree to scary wedding duties like reading in church and making speeches. Their favourite tipple is always a good call.
For our favours, I entrusted the lovely Biscuiteers to make bespoke biscuits for each guest. We loved the idea of having edible favours as I always find it a little bit annoying to carry something around with me and I’ve noticed that a lot of guests end up leaving their favours behind. We opted for biscuits in the design of our favourite cakes including pastel coloured cupcakes, fudge cake slices and fondant fancies. I’ve worked with Biscuiteers via my blog before so I already knew that their biscuits were delicious so I placed an order for 75 bespoke biscuits and packaged them myself with cellophane and pink ribbons.

Thanks! Splendid article about preparation for wedding gifts and very choosy, selective among those gifts for your wedding anniversary.
