Jacket, Nasty Gal: In the sale here.
Yesterday I had the day off. One of the perks of being a freelance copywriter is that you get to create a schedule that works around blog events and personal commitments. When you have time to spare, it is wise to take advantage of it and use your time doing something worthwhile which in my book is going to the gym when it’s quiet and taking my Mum out for lunch to celebrate her four week hipiversary. We decided to go to Rudding Park for afternoon tea with a side of bubbles and it was the perfect opportunity to take my new jacket for a spin.
This draped jacket is cheap as chips and perfect for the tricky transitional season. I’m obsessed with the deep olive hue. I wore it with my new Ugg Blaney trainers, my fave black Zara skinny jeans, my ancient Luella bag and my Reiss leather rope bracelet.
Oh and my shiny new necklace from Jon Richard which is also in the sale here. After admiring the scenery, we scampered off inside to indulge in a spot of afternoon tea.
It was a total coincidence that my new jacket matched these delicious pistachio cones, I promise. I couldn’t tell you what was inside them but put it this way, they didn’t stay on the plate for long.
We polished off the scones and went home for a catnap. Not bad for a Monday. Have you been to Rudding Park for afternoon tea?
