If you’ve just got engaged, the chances are you are probably still staring dreamily at your engagement ring, flirting with the idea of a pastel colour scheme or plotting the perfect guest list. However, if you are four months down the line without so much as a wedding date, your outlook may be a little less rosy. Planning a wedding is stressful. So, you can imagine my excitement when the lovely team at Stress Free Print came to the rescue with their handy little kit for the frazzled Bride to Be. I’ve realised that with the right tools, you can keep the wrinkle inducing scowls and frowns to a minimum. Here are a few tips on how to build your own stress free wedding kit and sail through the wedding planning process with a smile.

Get Organised

Since I got engaged, my Pinterest boards have expanded dramatically, Bridesmaids have been picked and dress designs have been contemplated. However, all of the important aspects of a wedding, like the venue, the dress, the wedding guest book, the photo booth from OrcaVue or Smart Pics UK Event Photography and the cake are still fairly vague. Does this sound familiar? Here’s where your wedding planning kit comes in. A wedding organiser will help you tackle each wedding related task in order. This little gem provides a place to jot down all kinds of crucial information such as the measurements of your Bridesmaids to Guests’ contact details. They can also talk to you about wedding venue options, so keep that in mind too.

Take Time Out

With so much planning to do, wedding related thoughts can occupy your mind 24/7. However, there’s nothing wrong with taking a little time out. Run a bath, add a dollop of your favourite bath oil and relax. Your table plan can wait 20 minutes.

Get Focussed

With one hundred and one things to do on your to do list, it’s no surprise that you feel a little manic on a morning. Try a ten minute yoga workout before you go to work and make putting your priorities in order a breeze.

Make a List

I’m a big fan of to do lists and I usually write one on a night to ensure I don’t forget to send that all important email to a potential venue or make that phone call. Invest in a handbag sized notebook that you can keep with you at all times will ensure you have all of the information you need to hand.

Bedtime Reading

I usually read most nights  but since I’ve been engaged my reading list has taken on a bridal theme. Include a bit of bedtime reading into your routine and take the stress out of planning your wedding.

A huge thank you to StressFreePrint for sending me this adorable stress free wedding kit.
