Fondant fancies, fat rascals and Spa water, just a few of the things that spring to mind when you think of Harrogate. Fabulous blogger events and cutting edge fashion shows? Erm, well, not until last Wednesday. I’m not generally allowed in Morgan Clare. It’s one of those places that I can’t just window shop. Packed with decadent designer labels, my credit card quivers whenever I’m in a 25 mile radius. However, last Wednesday, I made an exception and tootled down to Morgan Clare to enjoy a sneak peak at their new collection at an exclusive blogger event and it’s safe to say I WANT EVERYTHING! Cupcakes, catwalk models and champagne, trust me, Morgan Clare know how to throw a party.
We were welcomed with a glass of bubbles by the lovely Hannah and Lizzy and I couldn’t help but try one (OK three) of the mini Mamma Doreens cupcakes.
It was so nice to see so many local bloggers in one place such as the lovely Elissa and Mags. We oohed and ahhed over some gorgeous pieces and these Isabel Marant skinnies, this Alexander McQueen beetle print skirt and this Stella McCartney handbag are now firmly at the top of my Christmas list. (Whoops! I said the C word!)
The fashion show was divine and as the beautiful models showcased each look, my imaginary shopping list trebled in size. This is one of my favourite looks from the fashion show and it’s the sort of thing I would wear to a wedding with some fabulous headgear (I’ll just have to win the lottery first).

I’m yet to purchase even one item for my A/W wardrobe and this event definitely got me in the mood to invest in a few key pieces for the season ahead. Everywhere I looked there were cashmere capes and snuggly sweaters trying to get me giddy about Winter.
